Productive and Comfortable Working Condition

The Company understands that a healthy and productive workforce is the foundation of a sustainable mining operation. Therefore, the company strives to create a safe, inclusive and empowering work environment for employees. The Company upholds the principles of fair leadership, sustainable development, and a healthy work-life balance.

The company also implements efforts to improve employee capabilities, through training, tasking and on-the-job training, as well as continuous career development. Career development, skills training, and continuing education programs are designed to assist the approximately 1,000 employees directly employed by the company, while approximately 1,300 are employed by contractors.

The aspect of inclusiveness in labor management is of great concern. The Company understands that diversity is a beneficial force, supported by the Company’s consistency in upholding the principles of fairness, equality, and non-discrimination in the workplace. The Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) is made with representatives of the Labor Union within the Company. The CLA, along with the Company’s Regulations and Policies, serve as tools to prevent discrimination, harassment and intimidation, and create equal opportunities for employees, 80 percent of whom are from local districts and provinces. On the other hand, healthy and harmonious industrial relations are the foundation for the company’s long-term success and employee welfare. Therefore, freedom of association is supported by the spirit of building respectful relationships for the progress of the Company and the welfare of employees, both parties can work together collaboratively to achieve common goals.

J Resources is committed to prioritizing occupational safety and health (OHS) aspects in carrying out company operations. The Company strives continuously and continuously to improve occupational safety and health standards so as to create safe, effective and efficient company operations. In this regard, the Company has implemented an Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) Management System that refers to SMKP (Kepdirjen Minerba No. 185 of 2019), SMK3 (PP No. 50 of 2012), and ISO 45001:2018.

In addition, to ensure that the Occupational Safety and Health Management System is well implemented, the Company established an Occupational Safety and Health Committee chaired by the Head of Mining Operation (KTT). One of the roles of the Committee is to audit and evaluate the implementation of the Management System, which is conducted once a year. The Company also conducts regular safety simulation training programs to ensure every employee understands safety standards and has the knowledge and skills to cope with emergency situations.

To ensure the ongoing protection of employees, safety procedures are always ensured to be in line with the latest standards, audited regularly and improved whenever necessary.
