Throughout 2023, J Resources has received many awards for its community empowerment activities which are the Company’s social investment to the surrounding community. Various empowerment programs were carried out and received appreciation from the Government. The Subroto Award was given to J Resources’ subsidiary JRBM for the Cacao Cultivation program in the Bakan area. The program, which began in the “covid era” of 2020 with only 20 farmers, has grown to around 200 farmers and covers almost 200 hectares.

This program will be a flagship program and continue to be developed to ensure sustainable benefits for the community.

In addition, it also contributes to the quality of education linked to employment opportunities by conducting vocational training for youth in the Bakan empowerment area, and providing additional lessons to vocational students in Kotabunan, East Bolaang MOngondow Regency. For these initiatives, MEMR awarded the Tamasya (Tambang Menyejahteraakan Masyarakat) Award to two subsidiaries of J Resources, namely PT JRBM in the Education Performance Category through the Development of a Vocational Internship Program for the Community around the Mine (JRBM); and to PT ASA in the Education Performance Category in the Form of Capacity Building to Support Workforce Readiness (ASA) through the “ASA Mengajar” program by inviting ASA employees to volunteer to teach at the Vocational School in Kotabunan, East Bolaang Mongondow Regency.
