JRBM-assisted MSME group wins best award in Bolmong North Sulawesi

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Permata Bunda micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) group has been awarded as the best MSME in Bolaang Mongondow Regency (Bolmong), North Sulawesi.

The award for MSMEs making banana chips assisted by the national gold mining company J Resources Bolaang Mongondow (JRBM) was obtained at the Bolmong Family Income Improvement Business (UP2K) event to commemorate the 51st PKK Unity Day.

PT JRBM Director Arief Perdanakusumah in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday assessed the award as a bonus for what has been done so far. "The most important thing is how MSME members get economic benefits and skills so that activities in the group continue to grow," Arif said.

He added that the company will continue to support the development of this group in the future. "We are certainly ready to help this MSME group to grow and are expected to transmit these positive things to other MSME groups and also to other mining villages," he explained.

JRBM supports Arif, has several priority programs in the Community Development Program (PPM). One of them is in the economic field through MSME empowerment activities and cocoa cultivation.

During this time for the Permata Bunda MSME group, there were several types of assistance provided, ranging from equipment facilities and studio equipment, equipment for processing to product packaging tools. Then there are also training activities in terms of producing products that have varied flavors as well as obtaining permits and halal certificates.

The head of Permata Bunda MSME group, Rolia Mamonto, said that the award is inseparable from the success of the banana chip-making business that has been increasing the income of PKK women in Mopusi Village, Lolayan District, Bolmong Regency.

According to Rolia Mamaonto, the growth of Permata Bunda's MSME business so far cannot be separated from the role of PT JRBM. This gold miningcompany provides assistance and helps members to improve their business activities.
